Description

The Chili Cook Off started back in 1978 and is still running strong today in its most stable location yet, the Tobolandia water park in Ajijic. It has been hosted in several other places but for the past years the back area of the water park has been perfect for the venue, not to mention the parking is vast enough for all visitors. The participants, cooks and visitors to the event keep growing year by year. This event always kicks off with a parade down the carretera and ends at the entrance of the cook off.

There is so much to eat, drink see and of course taste. Anyone can be a participant to try their luck and all visitors to the event can do the chili tasting and cast their vote at the end. There is also a Margarita tasting contest that goes really well with all the Chili tasting. There are shows to watch each day of the event, everything from traditional Mexican Folkloric dancing to a rock band to get everyone in the groove.
