Rent a Car from Access:  Explore Lake Chapala with your own ride! Due to many requests we have received from clients and users, Access Lake Chapala has decided to offer car rental services. All our vehicles are used and not brand new as most are accustomed to. This allows us to keep rental rates very low, some of the lowest in the area. All our vehicles are very well maintained and serviced, so you are getting a reliable used vehicle.

Full coverage insurance is included in our rental rates with a 10% deductible in case of any collision. We currently have a limited inventory in cars but will have more vehicles in the future. 1) How do I get started reserving a car?

Contact us using the form above  to check availability, we usually respond within 24 hours and will let you know if your dates are available and further steps needed to secure the car rental.

2) What type of payments do you accept?

Payment can be made in cash (pesos, U.S., Canadian).

3) Does the vehicle come with insurance?

Yes, it comes with FULL coverage insurance that includes theft, so you are fully covered. However, Insurance deductibles are the responsibility of the renter in case of an accident or theft.

4) Is there a minimum age to rent?

Renter must be minimum 28 years of age, carry a current driver’s license.

5) What type of driver’s do I need?

We can accept any valid drivers license from the US, Canada, EU and even International dirvers license.

6) Can you pick me up at the airport?

We currently cannot do airport pickups.

7) What do I do in case of an accident with the vehicle?

We will provide you with the correct contact details and emergency numbers in case of any accident.

8) Can I use my credit card for insurance coverage?

No, our rates already have  full-coverage auto insurance. The deductibles are 5% for major damages and 10% if car is stole..

9) Where are you located?

Our location is at Bugambilias 57, Fracc Mirasol, San Antonio, Jalisco Mexico.

10) Does the rental include unlimited mileage?

Unfortunately no, it is limited to 120 miles per day.

11) Can I drive the car anywhere, or up to the USA?

No, the rental rate we offer is lower than most since you can only drive the car with-in a 150 mile radios, this means locally in the Lake Chapala area. You can email us the areas you wish to drive and we can confirm if they are within range.

12) Do I have to leave a deposit for damages?

Yes, we ask for a small 200 USD deposit, which is returned to you on the spot when you deliver the car again without any damages.

13) What type of damages do you check when we return the car?

We check the standard items most car rental agencies check such as:
Scratches
Dents
Fender benders
Engine
Steering

14) What other paper work do I need to rent the car?

We ask for your driver’s license, 2 references (preferable local contacts) and to fill out our rental agreement. Simple process. Once you reserve from our booking engine above the page, we will send you the agreement and further information.
